DIRECTOR / RESIDENT CARETAKER / SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR (On-site)
Angela Smith is currently the Director of Vision of Peace. She is working closely with the Board of Directors to transition this ministry as it makes changes for the future. We recently built a new chaplain hermitage and hope to have priests available for sacraments and spiritual direction starting in August of 2019. Check for availability.

Angela Smith is certified in Spiritual Direction from the Alleluia School of Spiritual Direction in Augusta, Georgia. Her Catholic and ecumenical background allows for her to be flexible with each retreat-ant and tailor spiritual direction around each person’s particular needs. She has 20 years of experience as a librarian in public libraries. Her deep involvement in many volunteer leadership positions throughout the St. Louis Archdiocese spans over 25 years, mainly at the St. Louis Catholic Renewal Center. For the past 5 years, encouraging and ministering to young adults is her main passion.
To schedule a guided retreat with our spiritual director, contact Angela Smith.
Our Chaplain, Msgr. Ed Griesedieck, and other priests are available if you would like to schedule mass or confessions for yourself or a small group retreat. Priests on retreat are invited to offer mass for the other retreatants if they wish. When there is no mass on site, we provide directions to nearby parishes for retreatants wanting to attend daily mass. Weekly masses are offered periodically. Contact Angela with requests or questions about scheduling mass.
VISION OF PEACE CORPS (OUR VOLUNTEERS)
We could not manage without the assistance of our volunteers who help with upkeep and maintenance of the hermitages and grounds.
Angela is currently creating many opportunities for groups (youth groups, homeschooling groups, prayer groups, etc.) or individuals to come assist in maintaining this facility and ministering to the guests who stay with us.
Those interested in volunteering please contact Angela Smith.
